TNPSC Group 2/2A 2022 Selection Procedure
Most of the candidates had checked the official answer keys of TNPSC Group 2/2A Exam on their website link. After checking the cut off analysis of Group 2/2a Exam, the aspirants are eagarly waiting for the TNPSC Group 2/2A Result 2022. As per the Notification of TNPSC Group 2/2A Exam 2022, the Group 2/2A Prelims Result is to be release on the month of July/August 2022. The TNPSC Group 2/2A Prelims Exam consists of 200 questions and is for a total of 300 marks. Each right answer carries 1.5 marks. Candidates can count the total number of right answers and multiply it by 1.5 to get their final prelim score.
TNPSC Group 2 Exam is Three Stage Examination Process and for Group 2A is Two Stage Examination Process. In the First Stage, it has 2 different type papers. Paper 1 consists of General Tamil or General English Question Paper for 150 marks and Paper 2 consists of General Studies for 150 marks. There is no provision of negative marking in both of the papers. Below you can see the scheme of examination of TNPSC Group 2/2A Exam.
1. The selection will be purely based on written exam marks. 2. There will be no interview for TNPSC Group 2A posts. 3. Interview Process is only present for TNPSC Group 2 Posts.

Detailed Three-Stage Process of TNPSC Group 2 Posts
- The Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only.
- The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Written Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
- The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination will be 10 times the number of candidates to be recruited having regard to the rule of reservation of appointments.
- However, in each reservation group, all the candidates who secure the same marks as that of cut off marks of their reservation groups shall also be admitted to the Main Written Examination, though the number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination may exceed 1:10 ratio.
- The final selection will be made based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in the Main Written Examination Paper-II and Oral Test taken together, subject to Rule of Reservation of Appointments.

- Degree Standard
- TNPSC Group 2/2A Prelims exam is a qualifying exam.
- The minimum mark required to qualify for this exam is 90.
- There will be one paper with a total of 200 questions which carries a total of 300 marks.
- The questions will be in objective type.
- The time duration of the TNPSC Group 2/2A Prelims exam is 3 hours.
- The exam can be written either in English or in Tamil.

Note:
- Two types of question papers will be set. One type of paper will contain questions on General Tamil (100 items) and General Studies (75 items), Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 items). The other will contain General English (100 items) General Studies (75 items), Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 items). Candidates are given the option to choose either General Tamil or General English for answering the first 100 items apart from answering the second (75+25) 100 items on General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability Test.
- The questions on General Studies will be set both in English and Tamil and the questions on General Tamil / General English will be set in the respective languages.

TNPSC Group 2 Mains Interview Posts 2022 Exam Pattern
- There are two papers
- The TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam is split into two papers. Paper 1 & Paper 2
- The Paper 1 is Compulsory Tamil Language cum Eligibility(Qualifying Paper)
- The Paper 2 is General Studies(Descriptive Type Questions).
- Paper 1 is 100 marks & Paper 2 is 300 marks.
- Candidates will have to score the minimum qualifying marks in Paper 1 which is 40 out of 100.
- Finally, Interview for Selected Group 2 Mains Candidates.
- For Paper 2 & Interview combined, minimum qualifying mark is 102 marks.
- Only Paper 2 & Interview Marks are considered for selecting TNPSC Group 2 Posts.
TNPSC Group 2A Mains Non Interview Posts 2022 Exam Pattern
- There are two papers
- The TNPSC Group 2A Mains Exam is split into two papers. Paper 1 & Paper 2
- The Paper 1 is Compulsory Tamil Language cum Eligibility(Qualifying Paper)
- The Paper 2 is General Studies(Descriptive Type Questions).
- Paper 1 is 100 marks & Paper 2 is 300 marks.
- Candidates will have to score the minimum qualifying marks in Paper 1 which is 40 out of 100.
